All roads lead to Chipata this weekend for the annual N’cwala Ceremony starting today.
Entertainers particularly musicians are not left out of the frenzy as they too have a large part to play to make this ceremony a memorable one. It is for this reason that East Point Discotech will tonight present a N’cwala Ceremony Special music show with Chester from the ‘Banjo’ fame.
This show set to start at 19:00 hours will also feature music club DJ X-tra Tall from East Point-Ndola. It is anticipated the two will be supported by a chain of Chipata-based artistes.
Chester has had a very good music relationship with Chipata fans who he considers traditional cousins.
His hit singles ‘Banjo’ and ‘Ncinjeni Abanandi’ will surely highlight his performance. It is hoped he will be in the company of his crew that includes energetic dancing queens, musician Kadaffi, his manager Flip and other supporting acts. For X-Tall, his main role will surely be to keep that music flowing and give Chipata patrons a test of latest music mixes both local and foreign.
East Point management believes adding Chester and X-Tra Tall to the N’cwala frenzy will help attract some young people and help them appreciate the Eastern Province’s rich culture.
