FORMER Zambia Air Force (ZAF) commander lieutenant general Eric Chimese and two others have pleaded not guilty to seven counts of abuse of authority of office and money laundering.

Chimese, 50, is jointly charged with his wife, Sharon Grey Chimese and businessman James Chungu.

Among the five counts, it is alleged that between June 2015 and June 2018 Chimese engaged Jack Mwape, a casual daily employee of ZAF to install tiles on his private property situated at plot number 2303/Q in ibex hill.

Accordingly, this was an arbitrary act which was prejudicial to the interest of the Government.
