NATIONAL Development Planning Minister, Alexander Chiteme has embarked on an inspection tour of on-going government projects in North Western Province to ensure speedy implementation.
And Mr. Chiteme said Government was recording increased local and foreign direct investment since the initiative to start holding provincial investment expos started.
In an interview with Millennium Radio during the on-going Expo North-West 2019, Mr. Chiteme said he would be inspecting all developmental projects in the Province until August, 30, 2019.
Mr. Chiteme said he wanted to see all the projects that were coming up in the province to ensure implementation of the projects was expedited in line with the 7th National Development Plan of lea
ving no one behind.
Meanwhile, Mr. Chiteme said following the holding of the first-ever Luapula Investment Expo, there has been so much gain for Zambia.
He said many companies and individuals had shown interest to invest in businesses offered by respective provinces that had held expos already.
Mr. Chiteme said North Western Province had great potential in honey production which needed to be harnessed, as there was already potential in export market of the commodity.
