CHIZUMBA NSONJE CEREMONY SET FOR JULY 27

THE Tambo Royal Establishment (TRE) has set July 27, 2019 as the date for this year’s Chizumba Nsonje traditional ceremony of the Tambo people of Isoka.

Chief Katyetye people said preparations had intensified and appealed for support from well-wishers to hold the event.

Chief Katyetye said he expects this year’s ceremony to be more colourful than the previous one going by the number of people that had responded to the call to attend the event.

He said the Tambo people from across the country were expected to attend this year’s Chizumba Nsonje ceremony slated for this weekend.

“This year’s Chizumba Nsonje ceremony will be held this Saturday at the Katyetye Royal palace in Isoka and we would like to appeal to all well-wisher to support us to successfully hold this year’s annual event,”

“Therefore any form of support to this course will be much appreciated,” Chief Katyetye said.

Chief Katyetye said traditional ceremonies were important in the preservation of cultural heritage and encouraged people to attend.
