CSOs must Leave LAZ affairs to lawyers

Dear Editor,

I agree with calls for the Civil Society Organisations to keep off the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) matters. It is up to the members of the association to deal with LAZ president Eddie Mwitwa over allegations that he did not consult when making the decision for the association to sue President Edgar Lungu.

LAZ is a professional body and I think lawyers are capable of making their own decision after analysing what Mr Mwitwa has done. Why should CSOs be advisors in such a situation? Moreover, they have not been invited to render any opinion. So CSOs should just shut up.
