KAZUNGULA COUNCIL SPOKESWOMAN DIES

KAZUNGULA District Town Council Public Relations Officer, Catherine Ngulube, has died.

Ms Ngulube, 24, of Dambwa North in Livingstone Town, died yesterday 02:00 hours, in Zimba District Hospital where she was admitted together with two of her workmates after being involved in a road traffic accident.

Both, Zimba District Commissioner Elizabeth Kalaluka and her Kazungula counterpart, Pascalina Musokotwane have confirmed the development in an interview with the Daily Nation in Livingstone.

According to Ms Kalaluka, the accident happened around 20:30 on Sunday night a few minutes from Zimba Town as the trio was travelling from Lusaka to Livingstone.

Ms Kalaluka said the vehicle which was being driven by Robert Mulauzi overturned after a suspected tyre burst.

Ms Ngulube said that the driver, Robert Mulauzi, of Dambwa North, who sustained general body pains and Nchimunya Siabanyama, of Kazungula, who sustained a cut on the head, were evacuated to the Livingstone Central Hospital slightly after 11:00 hours on Monday.

And Kazungula District Commissioner Pascalina Musokotwane who rushed to Zimba Hospital confirmed the death of Ms Ngulube and described it as a tragedy and a loss to the district.

Meanwhile, the body of Ms Ngulube has been moved from Zimba and deposited at the Livingstone Central Hospital Mortuary.
