LAMBA CHIEF HAILS LUNGU OVER INPUTS DELIVERY

Chieftainess  Shimukunami of the Lamba people in Lufwanyama has hailed President Edgar Lungu for the  quick delivery of farming inputs to the farmers in her chiefdom.

She said for the first time, the farmers have the inputs before the rains get serious.

“This is what a government that cares for the people does. We are more than happy to have received these inputs on time. Us here, farming is what we do best.

“You know the roads in here are not that good and when you bring inputs when it’s raining it becomes very difficult to deliver them. But look, you the PF and President Edgar Lungu have given us the inputs before the rains get serious. We are so thankful. Please go and tell the President that we are so happy,”

a smiling Chieftainess Shimukunami said.

The traditional leader has further thanked President Lungu for ensuring that health facilities have all the medicines in hospitals and clinics.

The chief expressed happiness  that the PF government has tremendously made great strides in the health sector. She said after falling sick, she was evacuated by Government to the University Teaching Hospital where she got all the medication.

And in response, Mr  Chanda assured the traditional leader of the party and government support.

“We just came here to see how you are living. We are having a party mobilization meeting but we thought, we should first get the blessings from here,” Mr. Chanda said.

Later, MCC Chanda went to hold a mobilization meeting withhe remote part of Lufwanyama in Kazungu where all the UPND structures in Kazungu and UPND card carrying members led by Gift Hamutete resigned to join the Patriotic Front.

 “We have seen nothing in UPND but through the good leadership of President Edgar Chagwa Lungu here we are not hungry, we have fertiliser on time, we eat here and we just want to be part of the development that is taking place,” Mr Hamutete said.
