ZAMBIA Sports Fans Association patron Peter Makembo has urged Zambia’s envoys in the CAF Confederations Cup Nkana and Zesco United not to be intimidated when they face their rivals in tomorrow’s fixtures.
Nkana are scheduled to host Al Hilal FC from Sudan while Zesco United will take on Asante Kotoko in Kumasi Ghana.
Speaking in an interview, Makembo noted that there was need for the two Zambian envoys to be aggressive and focus on collecting maximum points to keep alive the hopes of progressing to the next round.
Makembo noted that the two teams have a very high chance of progressing to the next round of the Confederations Cup because their opponents are beatable.
He urged Nkana to forget about their 2-0 defeat to Zesco United for them to pick their first win in group-C of the continental championship.
Makembo said that Nkana should not worry about supporters because his team will travel en masse to cheer the team at Nkana Stadium.
Meanwhile, Zesco United have arrived in Ghana ahead of tomorrows’ CAF Confederation Cup group stage match against Asante Kotoko.
The Zambian champions left Ndola on Saturday and arrived at Kotoka International Airport on Sunday afternoon before heading to Kumasi were the game will be played.
The George Lwandamina-drilled side tops group-C with three points after beating Nkana 2-0 in last week’s CAF Confederations Cup local derby played at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
