Man killed, genital skin removed

UNKNOWN people have killed a man of Kanyama compound in Lusaka and removed his genital skin, police deputy spokesperson Rae Hamoonga has said.

 Mr Hamoonga said the body of the man, identified as Guyi Simutanda, 30, was discovered at Chunga Sewerage area.

He said the deceased’s body was discovered by his sister Mable Mushipi, 33, of Chunga compound.

Mr Hamoonga said the incident is believed to have happened between June 14 and 15 around 22:00 and 02:00 hours.

Mr Hamoonga said police officers who visited the scene found the dead man half-dressed.

He said a shape instrument appeared to have been used to remove the skin from the man’s genitals.

Mr Hamoonga said the deceased left his home on June 14 around 21:30 hours in Kanyama compound to go and attend a funeral at the sister’s place but met his fate on his way.

Mr Hamoonga said the man’s body was at University Teaching Hospital (UTH) mortuary awaiting postmortem.
