MKUSHI District Commissioner Luka Mwamba has cautioned Nkumbi International College student Union against riotous behaviour.

Mr. Mwamba cautioned the student executive committee members when they paid a courtesy call on him at his office at the weekend.

Mr. Mwamba said he expected the new executive committee to improve the welfare of fellow students at the institution unlike promoting violence and class boycotts at the expense of learning.

He advised the students union to find amicable means of resolving disputes with the administration.

Mr. Mwamba reminded the union that their role was to protect the interests of members at the college and they were expecting a lot from them.

Mr. Mwamba urged the union to embark on fundraising ventures and find tangible projects so that they could raise their own funds to run the union.

“I welcome you and l want to work with you. I need harmony and discipline at Nkumbi International College. You should not be like your colleagues of yours each time they are not given meal allowance they start breaking other people’s property.

That l will not condone. When you see something happening please, let me know as your District Commissioner. I am there for you and l’am the servant of people. I’am at your service.” Mr. Mwamba said.

And student Union President Stephen Tembo appealed to the DC’s office for support in all areas.

Mr. Tembo said currently, the union’s account had no funds and needed support to embark on fundraising ventures so as to run the affairs and welfare of students at the College.

“We need your support and we need funds. So far, we do not have money in our coffers to implement some projects. But if you can support us in doing some fundraising ventures, l think the living and affairs of students at Nkumbi College will improve. Because there will be no future without students.” Mr. Tembo said.
