WITH barely 24 hours to go before Nkana host Zesco United in a crucial Confederation Cup group C match day five encounter, club chief executive officer Charles Chakatazya has tipped the Kitwe giants of victory.

Speaking in an interview ahead of tomorrow’s clash at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe, Chakatazya said the ‘Kalampa’ boys will overcome Zesco and cement their quarter-final spot.

He said he was happy the team had put behind the 3-0 defeat to Asante Kotoko last Sunday, and has been focused on preparing for their rivals.

“The team is still in the race and we will overcome Zesco. We are not in any panic mode, we may have lost in Ghana owing to the fact that goalkeeper Allan Chibwe looked uncomfortable, but that is behind us now and look for three points in tomorrow’s game,” he said.

He said a win against the Zesco  will heighten the team’s qualification to the next stage. He called on the team to play as a unit and remember the team’s pride was at stake.

Zesco won the first leg of the Zambian derby 2-0 at home in Ndola on February 3.

“We lost in Ndola but now we are at home and the team should aim to maintain their unbeaten run at Nkana Stadium,” he said.

Nkana are tied on six points with Kotoko ,  one shy of leaders Al Hilal of Sudan while Zesco are bottom on four
