SINAZONGWE Member of Parliament Gift Sialubalo has expressed shock and disappointment at the recent killings that have rocked the district.
Mr Sialubalo said he could not understand what had gone wrong in Sinazongwe for people to be killing each other.
In an apparent reference to a suspected ritual incident in which a 25-year-old man was brutally murdered last week in Siansowa area in Chief Mweemba’s chiefdom and another man shoot to death by unknown people on Sunday in Mukuti village in Sinazongwe chiefdom, Mr Sialubalo described the incidents as barbaric.
“We can’t have people killing each other on mere suspicions like that. If you are offended there are better ways of resolving issues other than killing each other,” he said.
Mr. Sialubalo disclosed that as a matter of urgency, he would engage Home Affairs Minister Stephen Kampyongo to consider sending a team of officers in the area.
“If people cannot regulate themselves, then we have to engage the police through the Ministry of Home Affairs to regulate us, this cannot continue happening,” he said.
