GOVERNMENT Deputy Chief Whip and Lusaka lawyer Tutwa Ngulube has sued Republican Progressive Party (RPP) president James Lukuku for defamation in the Kabwe High Court.

According to the statement of claim filed in the principal register, Mr Ngulube sued Mr Lukuku as first defendant and the party as second defendant.

Mr Lukuku is alleged to have falsely questioned the nationality of Mr Ngulube and asked him to prove it.

He is claiming that Mr Ngulube is not a Zambian but a Rwandese.

Mr Lukuku says Mr Ngulube must leave Zambian governance to Zambians because he was allegedly a foreigner. He says he will soon disclose Mr Ngulube’s village in Rwanda and names of his parents.

Mr Lukuku also said he was remorseful for his allegations but Mr Ngulube had crossed boundaries by wanting to introduce Rwandese barbaric ways of insulting indigenous Zambians. But Mr Ngulube says in his statement of claim that he wants Mr Lukuku to provide evidence that he is a foreigner.
