THE Arthur Wina Memorial Hospital will be an asset that will improve healthcare delivery in Nalolo, says United Church of Zambia (UCZ) Synod bishop Sydney Sichilima.

The US$90,000 health facility will be built in honour of late veteran politician Arthur Wina.

Bishop Sichilima said the church was happy to have been entrusted with running the hospital once completed.

He was speaking when he led members of the clergy in laying the foundation stone during the ground-breaking ceremony marking the beginning of the construction of the hospital.

“The hospital will supplement healthcare services provided by Muoyo Rural Health Centre with a catchment of over 3, 000 people.

“The centre was built in 1959, hence the need to match the current healthcare demand with the population growth,” Bishop Sichilima said.

The hospital is being built at the cost of US$90, 000 with support from an Australian-based charity organisation Dignity Zambia. 0000000000
