ZAMBIA have been drawn against nemesis South Africa in the preliminary round of the 2020 FIFA under-20 Women World Cup qualifiers.
According to the fixtures released yesterday in Cairo, for the African zone, the young Shepolopolo will come face to face with a team that has proved difficult to beat in different competitions.
Under -20 coach Charles Haluboono described the draw as tough but with adequate preparation, the girls could overcome South Africa.
The preliminary ties take place in January 2020, with the first and second leg matches coming between January 17 and February 2, 2020.
Winner between Zambia and South Africa will face victors between Namibia and Botswana.
The qualifiers which will go through to four rounds will see the four top finishes qualify to the World Cup with the hosts not yet named.
