Just when every local movie follower was enjoying the drama in the two shows, ‘Zuba’ and ‘Mpali’ both aired on DStv’s Zambezi Magic Channel 162, the popular series have gone on a break. According to a statement from DStv, the public will be advised when these shows return.
However, more action and drama are promised in the new shows that will possibly cover up for the time and dedicated Zambian fans had for ‘Zuba’ and ‘Mpali’.
The new shows range from comedy to reality and are all set to yet again reveal Zambia’s growth in film and television industry. Amongst these new inclusions is the comedy series ‘Lusaka Maids’. This is a show that follows the lives of four maids and hawker.
They will want to live for today as their tomorrow is uncertain.
The other new show is ‘Nyumba Yanga’, a reality show which showcases home makeovers by local designers.
Meanwhile ‘Date My Family Zambia’ ended yesterday and so did ‘Turn of Fortune’. ‘Landlord Meets Landlady’ and ‘Our Perfect Wedding Zimbabwe’ are some other exciting shows running on Zambezi Magic which is bent on promoting authentic stories and productions from Southern Africa including Zambia.
